New Technology
Creative alternatives for progressive IT departments
Nucleus Technology offers a wide variety of user-interface options and choices in development tools.
Encapsulate!
Encapsulation is an attribute of 'object design'. All of the object's data is contained and hidden in the object, Access then becomes restricted to members of that class, 'inheriting' strict rules for interaction.
Programming languages aren't quite so strict and provide wide levels of access to the object's data. Scary, isn't it.
Inherit!
In object-oriented programming, inheritance is the concept that when a class of objects is defined, any subclass that is further defined can inherit the definitions (rules) of one or more general (higher) classes.
For the programmer, a subclass need not carry its own definition of data - i.e. it 'inherits' methods that are generic to the class (or classes) of which it is a part.
For the organization
Data validity is assured. As an added benefit, program development accelerates. For the technically minded, all actions against the database follow consistent rules defined within the subclass (aka, "rule-set" or "object). The bottom line is always, consistency. What works and is consistent about the class will also work for the subclass.
A structured framework eases the integration of "Enterprise" Data with the outside world. Business rules and logic reside on "enterprise" systems (hosts) and are encapsulated as Class Libraries and Methods. The Libraries and Methods may be shared by numerous user-interface and data-interface alternatives including, (but not limited to):· .NET / C# · Mono (.net open source) · Visual Basic · Browser based applications · Java Script · Java · JSON · Plone / Zope · .net/java and python through uniObjects · Ruby · Ruby on Rails · Net Beans · Web Objects · Accuterm GUI · Yahoo objects · DHTMLX grid objects · uniObjects · Blue finity · Zapatec grid objects · Text modeEnsuring consistency and security within the database, as access is controlled through a set of "API"s (Application Program Interface).
Visual interface methods share host-based rules
The user interface is able to communicate with an extended relational database running on a host system via the NuQL API, eliminating the complexities of client-side data manipulation and greatly simplifying user-interface coding and support.Data requests by client-side applications are mediated by host-based security rules and logic Data formats supported include XML, DHTML, DHTMLX, Tab, Comma delimited, MIME, and others. Host-based rules enforce Enterprise level standards and enable automated backup of all application libraries, Unified Source, Version and Change Controls

Goal orientation of Nucleus class libraries:
By reducing the complexity of user-interface programming, savings in long-term support costs can be substantial.Insure the integrity of Enterprise data Accelerate development as in-house data specialists write the business rules while user-interface designers can concentrate on their area of expertise.
Integrate new Technologies
Development is never tied to a single user interface. New technologies can be integrated without forcing a re-write of business rules.
Computer science graduates can be hired to focus on creating modern, user-friendly applications, without a long ramp-up to understand the details and structures of an extended relational database or the myriad and complex rules of the business.
