High-speed data entry
Speed access functions are fully supported by the menu system. A high-speed "text based" user interface is available for fast, "heads-down", "mouseless", "keep your hands on the keyboard" data entry.

Efficient and effective:
Data entry processes are optimized to provide fast and accurate entries. Relational file structures reduce or eliminate the need for duplicate entries of information. Exception reports reduce management effort required to research information.

On-line real-time:
All data entry is accomplished in an on-line, real-time environment. Information is easily accessible, and entry is assisted through interactive displays with field prompts and on-line content sensitive help.

Data Validation and accuracy:
On-line range and validity tests are performed on most entries. Dates are checked for format and reasonableness. Numerical entries are interpreted and re-displayed with commas and decimal points to visually aid operator assessments. Expense codes, Part numbers, Payable terms, Shipping terms, etc; can be selected from "pop-up" windows that validate entries before allowing further processing. Users can be prompted to acknowledge that entries are correct, before data will be recorded by the system.

System Security:
Operators accessing the system are required to have a currently valid (and unique) LOGON ID, and password. Each user is assigned group and task permissions that can permit or deny access to programs and sensitive data. Individual tasks can be specifically authorized or denied.

Change and access controls can be initiated to provide audit trails of access to accounts, data files, verbs, menus etc., to comply with governance requirements and/or policy.

All transmissions to and from BOSS are encrypted, ensuring that your data remains secure.
